The AVBFB provides important support and advocacy for Western Australia’s tens of thousands of volunteer fire brigade members.
Since July 2014, the Association has gratefully received a small annual grant from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services. That grant funds vital professional development activities such as our annual state-wide fire fighting competition and conference. It also contributes to the cost of keeping our diverse membership informed and involved in the many important changes that occur regularly in the emergency services field.
However, there’s a lot more we could do for the 25,000 volunteers who defend hundreds of local communities that the State simply can’t afford to pay “career” officers to protect.
As a result, we need your help.
Donations, sponsorships and revenue from the sale of merchandise from individuals and socially responsible corporations are therefore essential for the delivery of better quality information and more effective representation for those who routinely put themselves in harm’s way to protect the rest of us.
