“It’s no joke, bushfire season is still here!”
The incredible ladies and gents of the Gosnells Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade have reminded us all that even though the days and nights are getting cooler in the south of our great state, the risk of bush fire is far from over.
For many of the crew, their weekend was taken up protecting lives and property against a dangerous bushfire that broke out in Ferndale. Watch and Act warnings were issued, but thanks to the great work of the Gosnells VBFB team and the other career and volunteers who worked alongside them at the incident, it was made safe – but as the Facebook post below reminds us, we are still not “all clear” from this bushfire season just yet.
Great work girls and guys, and thank you for the timely and important reminder to stay alert and vigilant despite the cooler weather.
