The first ever joint Volunteer Bushfire Games/MERC was held on Langley Park in Perth last weekend and by all accounts was a huge success!

With support from many individuals, Brigades, Local Governments and Sponsors, our BFG sub-committee pulled together an amazing event that not only tested the skills of Bushfire Volunteers from all over WA, but also delivered a valuable opportunity for the metropolitan public to learn about some of the work WA’s 20,000+ registered Bushfire Volunteers do every day to protect our community.

We will add a lot more photos to a dedicated gallery for those who competed in the next week or so, but for the moment, there are a few images under the results table below that illustrate some of the wonderful activity of the 2019 Volunteer Bushfire Games / MERC.
