As we know all too well, volunteers work hard to protect their community all through the year, with the holidays being no exception.
This was reflected by the training that some Northern vollies took part in over the Father’s Day weekend. With bushies from Nickol Bay and Hedland bush fire brigades teaming up with the fire and rescue service teams from Port Hedland, South Hedland and Pannawonica. Working together to get the job done, and make sure they are all trained up and ready to look after their local communities in the already commenced fire season.
We’ve heard that some of the vollies even travelled over 500kms to attend the Pilbara training, talk about commitment!
