Our hard-working Midwest Zone Representative Alison Lloyd made a visit to Chapman Valley recently where she was greeted by a great turnout of bush fire volunteers from the region.

As you can see from Alison’s photos below, the group spent their weekday afternoon undertaking familiarisation training with some of the local vehicles, deluge systems and radios then enjoyed some equally valuable team building around the BBQ.

Thank you to all of our amazing 26,000 volunteers for the time you donate to helping communities just like the beauitful Chapman Valley prepare, prevent, respond to and recover from emergencies. And well done to the AVBFB Committee members who, just like Alison, give up their time and skills to try to meet and support as many members of their volunteer family as is humanly possible – you’re all champs!
