We say it again and again, the women and men of WA’s volunteer Bush Fire Service are simply extraordinary. While some people might think volunteers only turn up when there’s a fire near their home or farm, the facts couldn’t be further from the truth.
And this post from our friends at Jandakot Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade is a reminder that almost every day of every year, scores of our amazing 20,000+ registered volunteers from all over WA are doing something to help their communities and clearly, a long way from home.
Congratulations to all involved in protecting Hyden and thank you Jandakot VBFB for taking the time to share a glimpse of your work and also for thanking the often forgotten families and employers who have your backs while you are out protecting those of others.
