Kalamunda Bush Fire Volunteers have our backs before, during AND after!

Thank goodness for Emergency Services Volunteers!

As you can see by the Facebook post from our incredible Kalamunda Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade below, being there for the community as a volunteer means not just turning up while the flames and cameras are flickering, but putting in the hard yards before, during AND after.

In this case, the often unglamourous “after” meant the amazing crew who stopped the potentially dangerous Lesmurdie Falls fire in 3 hours on Monday, were still there 48 hours later mopping up, blacking out and lugging more than half a kilometre of heavy fire hoses up the hill when it was all done.

Thank you Bush Fire Volunteers – we know your work is 80% before and after the TV news is there and deeply appreciate everything you do for the rest of us.
