A bushfire in Karloo this week was at one point declared out of control as authorities warned it posed a possible threat to homes and lives.
The fire, which started in bushland near Solomon Circle, was reported at 10.58am on Tuesday.
Police closed roads into the area as fire crews worked from eight trucks to control the fire, which is reported to have burnt 2ha of bushland close to houses.
A DFES spokeswoman said the cause of the fire was not known and there was nothing to suggest it was suspicious.
In cases of arson, there is a $25,000 reward for information leading to conviction.
A smoke hazard alert was also issued on Tuesday for residents in or near Solomon Circle.
