Australia’s Bushfire Volunteers know the devastation fire can bring to our built and natural environments.
Sadly, many of us also know first-hand that its fierce temper can deliver untold physical and emotional suffering.
As you farewell 2019 tonight, please take a quiet moment to consider those who have suffered at the hands of fire and honour our hundreds of thousands of amazing Bushfire Volunteers who leave their family and home to protect us 24/7.
And one more thing: never forget that after the flames are gone, truly beautiful things are often found by those who look.
