We know our members don’t want reward and are often shy about even being recognised.
But it is so important that our whole community is aware of the enormous sacrifices made by both Local Government and DFES volunteers as well as the many other services that have their backs – like those who provide food and drinks for the women and men on the fireground and comfort to the thousands of people displaced while they anxiously wait for news of their homes, animals and properties.
And let’s not forget the families, friends and importantly, employers who also sacrifice so much to enable WA’s amazing emergency services volunteers to do what they do for our community all year round.
