Well, what an incredible first 24 hours of the Market Sounding we published yesterday calling for expressions of interest from Local Governments, Corporations and Philanthropists who might like to help us build our world-leading Bushfire Volunteers Heritage and Education Centre (BVHEC).
Frankly, we though it might take a while to gain some momentum but to our delight, we’re already talking to two organisations that have land and another with an unused building!
So the very next step is getting some professional help in the design of the facility. We know what we need in terms of outcomes, but making sure the land being offered is big enough and the building fit-for-purpose is a specialist skill that we currently don’t have the funding to procure commercially. We would love the work to be offered pro-bono or as part of a sponsorship package.
If you or someone you know is a skilled professional and might be interested in providing the advice we need to move our discussions along to the point of a feasibility study (that’s next) please contact us for a confidential discussion now on 1800 23 8657 (1800 BF VOLS) or [email protected].
It’s big and bold, but long overdue.
