We’ve all heard the old adage, many good things require blood, sweat and tears to achieve.
Thanks to this awesome photo from our hard working friends at the Dunsborough Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade, we have evidence that some good things also come with a hearty serve of genuine mateship and laughter.
The incredible 20,000+ women and men of WA’s unique Local Government Volunteer Bush Fire Service do an amazing job preparing and protecting all of us against some of nature’s most devastating forces. Fortunately, they bleed and cry only occasionally, but almost always sweat while doing it. What isn’t well recognised is that in many of our 560+ Bush Fire Brigades, there’s a LOT of laughter and joy that accompanies the pain.
Being a member of WA’s invaluable Volunteer Bush Fire Service is diverse and ultimately, rewarding.
